The best way to curb the influx of Junk e-mail is to start at the ISP, although it will require a bit of sacrifice from the end user to maybe allow the ISP to put a sort filter tab on users Inbox.

Does anybody think that the Spam button at Yahoo works, I'm still getting junk regardless?

Yahoo's nothing but junk email as far as my account goes. It's a waste. Now I can get 100MB of spam instead of just a few MBs of it. LOL

yahoo's junk mail works fine. Hotmail's mailbox is nothing but a recipient of crap mail.

I just use instant messaging. You can see who's on in realtime, when they get your message, have them reply directly to you, no junk messages (only accept messages from my contact list)...

With e-Mail I can't really do the same thing because the addresses you're writing to aren't always ones in your address book, so you have to keep it synchronized, but IM has server-side lists... all that stuff.

Msucks, stop being so judgemental, I know for sure that hotmail seems to have implemented some good technology to combat spam compared to Yahoo, because 2 years ago, my hotmail inbox contained 90% junk, the same applies for Yahoo 2 years.

Both have gotten better, but whats up with Yahoo and the Bulk Mail folder and some of that junk is seeping into my Inbox, I still getting those Nigerian letters, I have never gotten one of those on Hotmail.

Yeah, Hotmail is at least on par with my ISP's junk mail filtering.

Its starting to make me think that Yahoo is based in Nigeria.

Is it? I heard eBay was based in Canada and Google in the US!

No, the Nigerian e-mails are making me think so.

Best way to preserve e-mail is to make sure that PST file does not become corrupted.
