Microsoft Corp. today announced the winners of the Microsoft® Windows® Embedded North American Partner of the Year awards at the Windows Embedded Developers' Conference (DevCon) 2004. The Partner of the Year awards recognize the expertise of Microsoft industry partners that over the past year have helped quickly bring a wide range of innovative Windows Powered devices to market. Windows Embedded partners were honored in categories ranging from Distributor to Systems Integrator and Silicon Vendor, highlighting the many types of partners Microsoft works with as part of the Windows Embedded ecosystem.

"Microsoft is excited to recognize the contributions of our embedded partners and their important role in the continued success of the Windows Embedded offerings," said Scott Horn, senior director of the Mobile and Embedded Devices Division at Microsoft. "Windows Embedded partners are an integral part of our business, enabling our mutual customers to identify high-quality solutions and services that our joint customers can take advantage of when building next-generation devices."

Actually the latest Office doesn't support all of the formats, and it's hard to open Mac formats even though Microsoft is able to give themselves the specs for it! I've never understood this.
