The VSIP SDK includes libraries, documentation, and samples allowing deep integration into the Visual Studio IDE.
This version targets Visual Studio 2005, which is required for use.

Microsoft is really leading the edge with this update to Visual studio, it seems like its gonna be another transition again for developers, lets hope its just positive.

Well, I don't know if any other company would be able to update Visual Studio in any significant manner. However I find that the Mono IDE and other IDEs such as KDevelop are just as good.

But for Windows, Microsoft has it going hands down with Visual Studio.

Hmm, well it used to be. We'll see if the market changes now with the release of 1.0 of Mono, it didn't come out 'til a few days ago.

Mono is not saying anything, its just that they want to say they appreciate .NET, and this is their way of saying thanks that Microsoft existed.
