Andre has posted his review of the Acer Ferrari 5000 running Windows Vista Ultimate x64. Here is an excerpt: I definitely love the 15 inch wide screen display, which features a glossy texture that makes graphics and text much richer and crisper on screen. Watching movies is a treat since the screens aspect ratio makes it perfect for those new hi definition and letter box size movies. The screens resolution though made it difficult to read the text since its smaller, I was able to resolve this by pushing up the DPI scaling of fonts under Vista’s Personalization from 96 DPI to 120 DPI. One thing though certain text and images became a bit jaggy but was a insignificant trade off for a better experience and makes it easier on the eyes during long usage. |

Nice object.
Personally I would have preferred a sober case, no red side panels and no Ferrari crest, but this is just a matter of personal opinion and I am not a fan of Ferrari cars so I am biased. |

| I'm glad to see desktops and or "both" significantly chosen over laptops alone. As nice as some laptops are, they just can't cut it for all uses. |

| Pretty weak review. Very little comment on the screen (not even resolution is specified), hard disk (no RPM), operating noise level (e.g., fan), etc. |

Resolution: 1680 by 1050
Hard disk: 5400 RPM Operating Noise: Its very quite and it has huge fan at the side, my Dell 840c is more like a Ferrari beside in terms of noise. |

| #5, so in other words, when you buy a notebook, you don't care about the screen resolution, how loud the computer is, etc.? While I appreciate the efforts (I am in the market to buy a notebook), the article read more like reviews of Windows Vista, Office 2007, and ATI X1600. |

| The main reason we were given "review units" was to discuss our "experiences" with "Windows Vista" on the machine. You requested additional information and I provided. Its quiet but gets too hot, I can't keep it in my lap too long. I still would recommend it to anyone who wants a powerful desktop replacement and powerful mobile system at the same time. It has a great graphics card for gaming and very nice display for watching movies. |

| #6. No...in other words, when I buy a notebook, I read more than one review, as every review never covers every single aspect or experience. Andre's would be one of many reviews that I would research before making such an investment. |
