Thousands of customers are paying almost $120 USD per year to Microsoft for an Internet subscription service that includes e-mail, security, and other features.

But Microsoft gives away almost identical services absolutely free in Windows Live and the Windows operating system itself, while neglecting to inform those who pay through the nose.

damn..AOL is doing the exact same thing. Why are they not in the headlines for ripping off customers?

#2: The reason AOL is not in the news for doing the exact same thing is that they have been in this business for much longer, and ripping off the gullible customers of theirs for so long, no one considers it noteworthy any more. These days, AOL ripping off customers is about as newsworthy as reporting that the sun rose again today.
