I always found the sheer amount of human effort in the Microsoft-copied-Apple interweb flamewars really funny. First, the accusations: Microsoft stole X. And then Apple-copied-Microsoft responses. And the PARC history lessons. (Somebody should come up with the equivalent Godwin's Law for PARC and Windows/Mac OS flame wars.) |

| What I want to know is, who doesn't copy from the competition, in any industry? If Company X does something that gives them a competitive advantage, all the competitors will copy it, and probably try to improve on it as well. Hell, one of the advantages of the Open Source model is the ability to steal from each other, and improve on what someone else did. At Microsoft, this is called Embrace and Extend. Microsoft does it. Apple does it. IBM does it. I've done it. You've done it. We've all done it at one time or another. And some ideas are so blatantly obvious that everyone thinks of it around the same time. |

#3 - LOL!! You're a brilliant person!! I agree with you! :-)
I've been a past owner of... a 1000, 500, 600, 1200, 3000, 4000 along with a CDTV and a CD32 :-) man I spent some money on those!! The Amiga OS had a lot of very good ideas and it was miles ahead of anything else at the time. Its just a shame the business was so badly run into the ground! |

Oh, man. There's only one thing worse than a Mac user, and that's an Amiga user :)
The worst possible combination would be an Amiga user, who also owns a Mac, drinks Pierrier, drives a BMW, and listens to music on $10,000 turntables. The world would implode if that ever happened... :) TL |

MyBlueRex: I've got some half-speed mastered vinyl in excellent condition if you are interested including the rare and superior sounding Dark Side of the Moon. Just checking to see if you still use the turntable or if its been mothballed.
