Fake or no fake, a Windows 7 alpha should look like a lot like Vista at this time. Longhorn's alpha desktop's looked a lot more like XP than Vista does now. The shell appearance usually isn't changed much in MS's alpha builds.

If you look at the about box it still says version 6.1. Anyone with any experience in the IT field should have seen this.

I have experience in the IT field. I saw this. It doesn't mean anything.

5.0 = Windows 2000
5.1 = Windows XP
5.2 = Windows Server 2003
6.0 = Windows Vista

6.1 is clearly a later version than any of these.

Vista = ME v2?
Then this Windows 7 is just XP v2? I guess so
