Time: 08:19 EST/13:19 GMT | News Source: Associated Press | Posted By: Robert Stein

A man who killed his 17-month-old daughter in a rage over a broken Xbox has been sentenced to more than two decades in prison. Tyrone Spellman, 27, of Philadelphia, killed Alayiah Turman with at least five blows to the head, prosecutors said. The force of the blows cracked the toddler's skull several times. "I've been doing this 13 years, and this is one of the few cases that's ever left me at a loss for words," Assistant District Attorney James Berardinelli said. RIP poor little innocent girl. :-(

Damn, I just cannot imagine the little innocent girl smiling maybe playing with her toys then BANG, a huge and incredible pain she don't know WTF is happening and nothing she can do and... BANG BANG BANG BANG (5 blows!)

I would ask a professionnal boxer to punch him the same then jail for life with no access to any video game. We don't need such individual on earth.

Ok enough...

Yes, RIP little girl. And to think her own father did this? He should have been sentenced to life imprisonment.

This does not belong on Activewin.

That aside, 20 years!?!? Life without parole should have been the minimum.

#3: I agree. This horrible story does not belong here. There is nothing of any IT or MS/Windows value other than the mention of the XBox.

I don't necessarily agree with the death penalty, but I might have to make an exception for this creep.

As a parent you get used to your kids breaking gadgets. I still remember finding a bottle of Elmer's glue in a VCR. These incidents go into the fond memories we have of our children.

in my case, one child inserted a bannanna, and another a peanut butter sandwitch

Banana & Peanut Butter - I think that was Elvis' favorite meal!

Life in prison? Someone who does this to their own child should be dragged out into the street and have a bullet put into their head.

he should be tied to a chair and put in a room full of toddlers so that they can bang on him for a while and put in a cell with bubba for some more banging...

That's ok. People who do wrong by kids don't usually do too well in prison. He'll get his...

Yeah, the inmates will most likely kill the guy for gang initiation reasons. Who ever does it will be nicknamed "Xbox".
