The clip used to mount the camera onto the computer does not open wide enough to clip the webcam onto a standard LCD monitor, but it does clip securely onto the lid of a laptop screen, which makes sense as this webcam is designed for mobile computing environments. The usb cable is considerably shorter than a standard webcam, which is again a plus for laptops and mobility. Also, the usb cable comes with a handy cable organization clip, which allows you to bunch the cable together and clip for storage in the case which is also included with the webcam. The LifeCam HD-6000 for Notebooks boasts a 360 degree lens rotation, allowing the user to rotate the camera halfway in both directions for all around views. When the webcam is in use, a glowing blue light is displayed on the neck of the camera.
