At Microsoft’s Mix ‘10 conference in March, where Microsoft took the wraps off its HTML 5 vision for Internet Explorer 9, there were a lot of questions about the future for Silverlight.

Silverlight?? Is that Flash-killer still around? Honestly, I can't remember the last time I saw any SL content on any website I go to.

It's penetration is growing and has been steadily.

Funny enough it's used for file uploads as default with flash as backup in many cases.

The internet would be a better place if it replaced flash all together, but flash is like a cockroach. God I wish Adobe hadn't bought Macromedia :(
