  Microsoft 'busily' buying every memory card it can

Microsoft is aiming to bring microSD expansion to its Windows Phone 7 range as soon as possible, according to the Windows Phone team. Microsoft's decision to lock down the memory cards and not allow users to expand their microSD allowance drew ire from some users who wanted more than the 8GB or 16GB on offer, but that looks set to change.

Here we go again...

How much you want to bet this is so they can sell 'official licensed' uSD cards, with the MS name, at 3x the price.

And even if everyday uSD cards work now (which is debatable), that problem for them is just one little update away from being resolved. Historically MS has had no issues removing features, no matter how much it pisses consumers off.
