With an elegant interface, fast performance and a big marketing budget, Windows Phone 7 is perhaps the surprise package in the smartphone wars this year. A month after its release, and most commentators agree than Microsoft has done a great job with the software and, provided app developers and smartphone continue to fulfil their part of the bargain, Windows Phone 7 could be a realistic alternative to the iPhone and handsets based on Android.

Personal preferences are personal preferences but the lack of "Tasks" alone is a huge obstacle for business users.

Granted right now I use WP7 and overall I like it but if MS will not add several functionalities in a reasonable amount of time I will have switch back to my HD2/WM6.5.
