  Microsoft: Google's Bing Probe is Click Fraud, Honeypot Attack

Microsoft hit back at Google Wednesday over accusations that it stole Google search results for its Bing search engine, accusing Google of engaging in a honeypot attack and going after the Bing because it was worried about its growth. "In simple terms, Google's 'experiment' was rigged to manipulate Bing search results through a type of attack also known as 'click fraud,'" Yusuf Mehdi, senior vice president of Microsoft's Online Services Division, wrote in a blog post. "That's right, the same type of attack employed by spammers on the Web to trick consumers and produce bogus search results."
