For whatever reason, Hotmail is looked at on the same level as AOL. GMAIL is considered hip. Really???
Frankly, I really don't see that much difference between gmail and hotmail, but I guess this was necessary from a hotmail rebranding perspective. Outlook.com is very clean and maybe people won't look at you so funny anymore like when you give them a hotmail address.
