| I'm not too impressed with these first gen PCIe cards, either. I'll wait until they really begin to show their potential before I hop on that bandwagon. Although, from what I read, PCIe will eventually make 8x AGP look like a joke, that time is not now, so really they're just not mature enough to consider buying. |

When the 6800 first came out, I read somewhere that nVidia's first PCX cards were actually going to be adapted AGP cards modified to work in PCX.
Does anyone know if this is correct? |

Anandtech has a nice article about the PCIe cards from ATI and nVidia in comparison on the new Intel 775 chip.
Summary: much ado about nothing, yet. Really, the PCIe is a nice design but it's still too immature to even worry about. Stick with AGP x8 people. It will be here for a while. |
