  ActiveWin.com's 10th Anniversary!
Time: 00:01 EST/05:01 GMT | News Source: ActiveWin.com | Posted By: Robert Stein

Today is ActiveWin.com's ten year anniversary, as we made our first post on June 25th, 1998. Over 45,000 posts and nearly 122,000 registered members later, we are still bringing you the latest in Microsoft news and reviews. We would like to thank all of you loyal supporters and volunteers over the years that contributed to make this site the success that it is today.

What is in the next chapter of this site? The next era is coming soon, we assure you, as one of our most active members Lloyd is developing a completely new ActiveWin.com from scratch, full of new features that will continue to provide a great community for another ten years. More on that to come soon. In the meantime, please let us know what you've thought of the site during these past years and how you think Microsoft has evolved during that time. We'd love to see your comments. Thank you always, Bob

Congratulations!

Wow - 10 years! What was the tech landscape like 10 years ago?

-Microsoft was the dominant desktop OS
-Linux was poised to make inroads into Microsoft's Desktop arena
-The browser Wars were really heating up
-Microsoft had the dominant office Suite

Wow, 10 years really makes a difference!

Congrats.

I've been registered since way back in 2001. While I spend less and less time frequenting the ActiveWin forums/comments, I still check the news everyday.

You guys have survived the Digg/Web 2.0 boom, and that is a testament to your loyal base of readers and your content/editing.

I look forward to your new site... which, let's bet honest, is very, very overdue. :)

Ouch AWBrian! Here's to another 10 years of excellent relations with your readers. ;-)

Best changes I've noticed at ActiveWin?

- Much fewer Register articles
- sodajerk filter in effect

RMD, you beat me by 1.5 months.
