Introduction
Choosing
an office software can be a tough job because the software you might pick
will condition the way your work in a daily manner. The choice users now
have is rather limited. The time when Lotus, Microsoft and WordPerfect were
struggling is over. There are two survivors: Microsoft Office or Corel
WordPerfect. Both suites offer the same level of features but with a
radically different approach. Since Corel has bought WordPerfect, the
Canadian company has cultivated the differences that made WordPerfect a
success throughout the different versions. Corel WordPerfect Office
2002
comes with WordPerfect
10,
Quattro Pro
10,
Corel Presentations
10
and Corel Central
10.
Quattro Pro, the spreadsheet software of the suite is the “jewel software”
of Borland that was sold to Corel years ago.
Setup
Corel
WordPerfect Office
2002
Standard Edition comes on
3
CDs. As always with Corel, the setup of the suite is very complete and can
be customized easily. You can select from the setup, each single
component you
want (or not) to install. Once everything is customized the
setup of the whole suite will take some time to complete due to the huge
number of files there is to copy. When the setup is done you’re invited to
reboot your computer.
